Sardinian Flag

Recently I got really into Vexillology and the symbolism around flags. I am originally from Sardinia and I always thought our flag was really peculiar. The flag is of medieval origin, and is composed of the St. George Cross and four heads of Moors which in the past were blindfolded and turned towards the luff. The heads can represent and symbolise the victory of the Sardinian people against the Moors who attempted to invade the island. It has similarities to the heraldic arms of Aragon and the flag and coat of arms of Corsica. This is my interpretation based on contemporary vexillology standards.
